Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great fame with the stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift developed an interest for music in her early years and swiftly progressed from participating in children's shows and then making her first public appearance the front of a crowd. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. next year, she picked up the guitar and began to write songs. Swift was inspired by artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness she felt at 13 years old. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee when she was 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. This allowed Swift to devote more time looking for labels to promote traditional music from Nashville.
